Sandy Lane Equestrian provides riding opportunities for less abled adults and children, which have been shown to boost both mental and physical well being. SLE RDA (charity no. 1108398) works with local special needs schools and also provides lessons on an individual basis. RDA research shows that riders experience significant positive change in confidence, communication ability and relating skills as well as physical improvement in balance, coordination, posture and core strength.
All prospective riders must complete a RDA rider application form, which requires a signature from a medical practitioner who knows the person concerned well. Carers must be in attendance, and on site at all times.

All funding for SLE RDA has to be raised at local level. We receive NO funds from national sources. Volunteers are always required to assist with lessons and any monetary donations are most appreciated. We welcome any ideas for events and means of raising funds. Support for our events is much needed. Check out the "Whats on" page for up and coming fund raising spectaculars.
